First we will be installing the .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.0 manually – because we hate auto-updaters since they're broken and stupid and ask us to reboot every five minutes – and then we'll install Easy Cut Studio using INNO Setup, which is a very easy installer that doesn't need any external tools or software in order to run it. Easy Cut Studio is a program that allows you to easily cut pieces of paper. You can adjust the length of your cuts, and use grids to line up your pieces of paper exactly where you want them. It's kind of like MS Paint, if MS Paint could cut things, and was designed for cutting things other than images. The installation process should be pretty simple. Here are all the steps you need to take to get started with Easy Cut Studio: 1) Download the latest version of Easy Cut Studio from their official website at http://www.easycutstudio.com/downloads/. There are two versions available, one for 32-bit systems and one for 64-bit systems. This tutorial is written for the 64-bit installation. 2) Unzip the file downloaded in the previous step by double-clicking on it. You should see something like this: 3) Double click on the "Setup" shortcut to begin the installation process. It will start installing Easy Cut Studio, and open Windows Explorer to display all of your program files. 4) Now that Easy Cut Studio is installed, you need to do a few things in order for it to work properly with your system configuration. You can access these settings by right-clicking on the "EasyCutStudio" icon in Start Menu, or by selecting "Run" from the Windows Key + R keyboard shortcut menu. 5) This will launch Easy Cut Studio with the following window full of settings. Click on "EasyCutStudio" in the left pane, and then under "Advanced options:" change the "Application Folder" path to wherever you want to store Easy Cut Studio on your computer. You can leave everything else alone, but it's good to know what you're doing! 6) Now click on "Setup" in the left pane again, and now under "System Configuration" click on "Set Windows Update service...". Select whether you want Windows to run automatic updates or not, whether you want it to download them automatically or let you decide when they are downloaded, etc.
